1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device (computer, tablet,
or mobile phone) when you visit. They allow the website to remember information about
your visit — such as whether you are logged in — so it can work correctly on your
next visit or as you navigate between pages.
Cookies set by the website you are visiting are called first-party cookies.
Cookies set by other domains (such as Google) are called third-party cookies.
2. Cookies We Use
Torah Readers Tikkun uses only strictly necessary cookies. We do not
use advertising, analytics, social media, or tracking cookies of any kind.

connect.sid
itorah.life (first-party)
Maintains your authenticated session. Without this cookie you would be logged
out on every page navigation.
Strictly Necessary
Session — deleted when you close your browser
Various reCAPTCHA cookies (e.g., _GRECAPTCHA)
Google (third-party)
Google reCAPTCHA v3 uses cookies and browser fingerprinting to detect bot
activity on our registration and login forms. This protects the Service from
automated abuse.
Strictly Necessary (Security)
Session to up to 6 months (set and controlled by Google)
No analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or social media tracking pixels are present
on itorah.life.
3. Google reCAPTCHA
We use Google reCAPTCHA v3 on our account registration and login pages.
reCAPTCHA is a security service provided by Google LLC that helps us distinguish human
users from automated bots.
reCAPTCHA may collect and send the following information to Google:
Browser type, version, and plugins
Device screen resolution and operating system
Mouse movements and interaction timing
Cookies already present in your browser from Google services
A session-level risk score (returned to us as a numeric value only)
We receive only an anonymized risk score from Google; we do not receive individual-level
identifying data from reCAPTCHA. Google's handling of this data is governed by
Google's Privacy Policy
.
4. What We Don't Use
We confirm that itorah.life does not use:
Google Analytics or any other analytics platform
Advertising or retargeting cookies
Social media tracking pixels (Facebook, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, etc.)
Heat-mapping or session-recording tools
Any cookie for behavioral profiling or cross-site tracking
5. Strictly Necessary Cookies & Consent
Under the EU ePrivacy Directive (implemented as national "cookie laws" in EU member states)
and the UK's Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), cookies that are
strictly necessary to provide a service explicitly requested by the user
are exempt from the prior-consent requirement.
Because every cookie we set (the session cookie) or facilitate (reCAPTCHA for security)
falls within the strictly necessary exemption, we do not present a consent-or-reject
cookie banner. Instead, we display an informational notice and provide this policy so
you are fully informed.
If you do not wish these cookies to be set, you must not use the Service, as they are
technically required for login and bot protection.
6. Managing Cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Please note that if
you delete or disable the session cookie (connect.sid), you will be unable
to stay logged in to the Service.
